The government wants to buy a new presidential limousine - The cost is much higher compared to previous ones

The Cypriot government has requested the release of €595,000 from Parliament to purchase a new armored limousine for President Nikos Christodoulides. The vehicle will also be used for visiting heads of state. This amount represents a significant increase compared to previous purchases, such as the €258,000 spent in 2019 and the €291,000 in 2010. The Ministry of Finance submitted the request to the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, with the procurement process involving closed bidding due to strict security specifications.
