Seven additional arrests made following Nea Salamina fan event incident
Larnaca police have arrested seven more individuals in connection with violent incidents that occurred during a fan event hosted by Nea Salamina. These latest apprehensions include two foreign nationals, aged 35 and 16, as well as five Greek Cypriots, aged 42, 20, 28, 28, and 21. The suspects were identified from photographs previously released to the public by authorities for identification purposes.
Following these arrests, the total number of individuals detained in relation to the case has reached 20. The investigation, led by the Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department (TAE), remains ongoing as authorities continue to search for additional suspects. Giorgos Charalambous, the official in charge of the Larnaca TAE, has issued a public appeal for any information that could assist in identifying the remaining participants in the disturbances, providing contact details for the local department.
The authorities continue to examine evidence to ensure all those involved are held accountable. The investigation remains active, with officers working to identify further suspects linked to the event, and the police have requested public cooperation to conclude the case.
