Cultural events and music performances scheduled across Cyprus

Cyprus hosts a series of cultural events this September, including performances by the ensemble "Myrothkies tou Giasemiou" and the Byzantine music project "Adousa Eikon." The "Myrothkies tou Giasemiou" ensemble, featuring Evagoras Karagiorgis, Kleio Papadia, Nefeli Karagiorgi, and Alexis Anastasiou, performs a blend of traditional and contemporary music. This program, part of the Cultural Decentralization initiative, is scheduled for Arediou on September 5, Mallia on September 6, Xyliatos on September 19, and Agios Ioannis Malountas on September 20. All events in this series are set for 7:30 p.m.

Simultaneously, the Byzantine music concert "Adousa Eikon," directed by Father Nikolaos Lymbouridis and performed by the "Romanos o Melodos" choir, explores the connection between chanting and the island's UNESCO-recognized heritage. Performances take place at the Monastery of Agios Ioannis Lampadistis in Kalopanagiotis on September 5 at 8:00 p.m., with subsequent shows scheduled for September 12 in Pedoulas and September 20 in Pelendri. These events reflect a broader cultural calendar currently underway across the Nicosia, Marathasa, and Pitsilia regions, which also includes the conclusion of the Larnaka jazz festival and various artistic exhibitions.
