Cyprus hosts a series of cultural and musical events in September 2026

Throughout September 2026, Cyprus is hosting a variety of cultural events under the Cultural Decentralisation Programme and other initiatives across the Nicosia, Limassol, and mountainous regions. Notable performances include the music ensemble "Myrothkies tou Giasemiou," which presents traditional and contemporary compositions, with upcoming stops in Mallia (September 6), Xyliatos (September 19), and Agios Ioannis Malountas (September 20).

Other significant events include the "Adousa Eikon" tour, showcasing Byzantine music in UNESCO-recognized sites such as the Monastery of Agios Ioannis Lampadistis (September 5) and the Timios Stavros Church in Pedoulas (September 12). Additionally, the music-poetic performance "Nisos tis esti," dedicated to Nobel laureate Giorgos Seferis, is scheduled for the George Seferis Cultural Center in Platres, with a following performance in Peristerona on October 12.

Simultaneously, Limassol features diverse cultural programming, including the retrospective exhibition "Nikos Kouroussis: Labyrinths" at the Municipal Arts Centre and the "EXPLICIT" film festival at the Rialto Theatre from September 7 to 9. Musical acts such as Panos Mouzourakis and Panos Vlachos will perform at the Marios Tokas Garden Theatre on September 10, highlighting a busy calendar of performing arts and exhibitions following the summer season.
