New Italian restaurant December 9 opens in a renovated stone house in Ayia Anna
Chef Fotis Hatzitofis, a professional with 15 years of experience in Italian gastronomy, has launched a new dining destination named December 9 in the village of Ayia Anna, located near Larnaca. The restaurant is situated in a meticulously renovated traditional stone building that preserves its original architectural character, featuring red-framed windows and a picturesque courtyard.
The menu focuses on authentic, in-house prepared Italian cuisine, emphasizing the use of natural sourdough for its wood-fired pizzas rather than yeast. Offerings include handmade pasta served on Fridays and Saturdays, focaccia, meat-based dishes such as chicken or pork cheek double bread, and specialized desserts like Nutella or lemon meringue pizza. The establishment also serves viral fruit-shaped pastries and artisanal ice cream.
Operating hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 16:00 to 22:00, with the kitchen service commencing at 18:00. Additionally, the venue hosts a daily happy hour from 16:00 to 18:00, inviting patrons to enjoy beverages and sweets in a rustic, countryside-inspired atmosphere.
