Presidential Troodos Residence hosts Pame Troodos 3 cultural festival

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the Presidential Residence in Troodos opened its doors to the public for the third annual 'Pame Troodos 3' event. Held from 11:00 to 18:00, the festival aimed to promote the cultural heritage, gastronomy, and local craftsmanship of Cyprus's mountainous communities. The initiative was spearheaded by First Lady Philippa Karsera-Christodoulidou and organized in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, the Deputy Ministry of Culture, the Office of the Commissioner for the Development of Mountainous Communities, and the Press and Information Office.

Visitors were given the opportunity to tour the historical residence, which was originally constructed between 1879 and 1880 by the first High Commissioner, Sir Garnet Wolseley. The event featured experiential workshops in traditional activities such as cooking, weaving, pottery, and mosaic making. President Nikos Christodoulides and members of the Council of Ministers attended the festival, engaging directly with local producers, artisans, and attendees to support small businesses in the region. The event concluded successfully, reinforcing the government's efforts to make state-owned landmark properties more accessible to the public through cultural and educational programs.
