Troodos Presidential Residence hosts third annual cultural festival

On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the Presidential Residence in Troodos opened its doors to the public for the third annual 'Pame Troodos 3' event. Held from 11:00 to 18:00, the festival invited visitors to explore the historical building and engage with local mountain communities.

The event was initiated by the First Lady, Philippa Karsera Christodoulides, and organized in partnership with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, the Deputy Ministry of Culture, the Office of the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities, and the Press and Information Office. The program featured a wide array of activities, including live traditional music, 'tsiattista' performances, and experiential workshops. Visitors were given the opportunity to meet local producers, craftsmen, and artisans, highlighting the unique gastronomy and creative output of Cyprus's mountainous regions.

The Presidential Residence, which was originally constructed between 1879 and 1880 by the first High Commissioner of Cyprus, serves as a site of significant historical and symbolic importance. This event is part of an ongoing series of initiatives aimed at making iconic state buildings more accessible to the public through cultural, educational, and charitable programs.
