Escalating Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon result in multiple civilian deaths

The intensification of military activity follows a June ceasefire intended to halt hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah. While Lebanon’s Emergency Public Health Operations Center reported a cumulative death toll exceeding 4,300 since early March, Hezbollah has formally urged Lebanese authorities to reconsider negotiation strategies. The group maintains that U.S.-backed Israeli escalations and the occupation render current diplomatic frameworks ineffective, while the Israeli military has not provided specific commentary regarding the absence of evacuation warnings at the affected sites.
