Man shot in Patisia incident
A 55-year-old man of Albanian origin was injured in a shooting incident in the Patisia district of Athens early Monday morning, September 7, 2026. The attack occurred at approximately 4:55 a.m. at the intersection of Vroutou and Themos Ninos streets as the victim was exiting his home. Two unidentified perpetrators on a motorcycle approached the man and opened fire, striking him in the lower limbs before fleeing the scene. The victim attempted to move away after the initial shots but collapsed on the road, where he was later discovered by responders and neighbors.
Emergency services transported the man to the Georgios Gennimatas Hospital, where medical staff confirmed his life is not in danger.
