Stelios Philanthropic Foundation announces aid for maritime accident victims

The Stelios Philanthropic Foundation has launched an online platform to distribute emergency financial aid to the families of those deceased or missing following a recent maritime accident. The incident occurred four miles off the northern coast of Cyprus.

The initiative allocates a total of €280,000, providing €10,000 to each affected family as an expression of solidarity. Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of the foundation, emphasized that the aid is provided without any discrimination based on the nationality of the victims. This action follows the foundation's established history of providing relief during national emergencies, including previous support efforts for victims of disasters in Mari, Mati, and Tempi.

Family members of the victims and the missing are currently able to submit their required documentation through the foundation's designated online portal to process their requests. The foundation reiterates its commitment to humanitarian values and support for families in times of crisis, underscoring that this assistance serves as a direct response to the recent tragedy.
