Road maintenance and closures in the Limassol district

Local authorities in the Limassol region have announced road maintenance and construction projects affecting traffic flow. In the Municipality of Limassol, road surface upgrade works took place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, on Agia Fylaxeos Street, requiring drivers to follow temporary traffic signs.

Separately, the Limassol District Self-Government Organization announced that the 71st Road in the Makarios III housing estate, located in the Polemidia Municipality, will be closed to traffic from September 7 through September 18, 2026. This closure, which restricts access to and from Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue, is necessary to facilitate sewage system works. During this period, only local residents will be permitted to access the street.

Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, adhere to temporary road markings, and follow all instructions provided by onsite personnel to ensure safety during the construction period.
