Anorthosis secures safety certification for stadium stand ahead of APOEL match

Anorthosis Famagusta has successfully secured the necessary safety certification for the eastern stand of the 'Freedom Antonis Papadopoulos' stadium, ensuring it will be fully operational for the upcoming home match against APOEL. The match is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, at 19:00, marking the team's first home game of the new season.

Earlier this week, the club faced significant uncertainty regarding the stadium's capacity as the eastern stand lacked an operating license due to concerns over structural integrity and seismic resistance. Management collaborated with a civil engineer to perform urgent structural reinforcements. Following these interventions, the Stadium Licensing Authority granted the official approval on September 9. With the certification secured, the club has commenced the sale of tickets for all sections of the stadium, including allocations for visiting APOEL fans, allowing the match to proceed with full crowd attendance.
