Larnaca completes first phase of Faneromeni Avenue roadworks

Construction work on the first segment of Faneromeni Avenue in Larnaca has been completed as part of the city's Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The Municipality of Larnaca announced that the road section, stretching from the K-Cineplex roundabout to the main Faneromeni roundabout, will reopen to traffic on September 14, 2026. The route currently remains closed to facilitate necessary road marking activities.

Following the reopening of the first segment on September 14, construction will shift to the opposite side of the road. These upcoming works are expected to last for one month. During this phase, traffic flow will be diverted to Nikou and Despoinas Pattichi Avenue using a traffic management scheme that operates in reverse compared to current arrangements.
