Robots stage protest outside Polish ministry to demand AI regulation

On September 7, 2026, approximately 30 robots participated in a symbolic protest outside the Polish Ministry of Digital Affairs in Warsaw. The event was organized by the initiative Democratism to highlight the social and economic consequences of automation. Organizer Grzegorz Kulis explained that the protest aims to stimulate a public debate regarding the potential replacement of humans by AI and humanoid robots, particularly in intellectual professions. The participants argued that technology is already a reality, with the Agibot A3 humanoid serving as a prominent participant to demonstrate the current capabilities of these systems.

The demonstration served as a call to action for policymakers to establish stricter rules regarding AI in the workplace. The organizers expressed concern that if robots prove to be significantly more efficient and cheaper than human labor, the displacement of workers could become widespread. No further legislative meetings were immediately announced, but the protest successfully drew significant public attention to the necessity of addressing the impact of automation on the future labor market.
