According to reports citing an interview with Axios, Zelensky noted that the Kremlin appears ready to engage in dialogue, suggesting that Putin is keen to maintain a constructive relationship with US President Donald Trump, especially ahead of the US mid-term elections in November. The proposed de-escalation efforts, facilitated by the American envoys, aim to stabilize sectors such as energy, grain, electricity, oil, and gas supplies as winter approaches.

Zelensky expressed that while current assessments of the talks are positive, the situation remains precarious.
