AEK Athens and AEL Limassol in talks for Frantzdy Pierrot transfer

AEK Athens and AEL Limassol are currently in advanced negotiations regarding the transfer of 31-year-old Haitian striker Frantzdy Pierrot. Reports indicate that AEK is open to releasing the forward, while AEL Limassol is prepared to cover a significant portion of the player's salary, which currently runs until the summer of 2027.

Pierrot, who stands 1.94 meters tall, has recorded 10 goals and one assist in 55 appearances for AEK. His previous career highlights include significant stints with Maccabi Haifa, where he scored 43 goals in 106 games, as well as Guingamp and Mouscron. The move comes as AEL Limassol seeks to bolster its attacking options following serious injuries to players Gomis and Chatakovitch early in the season.

With the Cypriot transfer window set to close on September 9, 2026, both clubs are working to finalize the deal quickly. The outcome remains pending as negotiations progress toward a potential transfer deadline.
