Far-right AfD surges in Saxony-Anhalt regional elections

In the German federal state of Saxony-Anhalt, the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party achieved a significant electoral victory, with its support jumping to 43.8% from 20.8% in the 2021 elections.
