Weather forecast for Cyprus: temperatures to peak then stabilize

After a period of warmer-than-average weather, Cyprus is experiencing a shift in meteorological conditions. Following Sunday's heat, where temperatures reached 38C inland, the weather is set to undergo a transition towards seasonal norms by the middle of the week.

On Tuesday, September 8, temperatures are expected to reach 37C inland, 34C along the coast, and 26C in the highest mountains. Winds will generally be gentle to moderate, blowing from the northeast to southeast and shifting to the southwest to northwest in the afternoon, with slight sea conditions. Nighttime temperatures will drop to 22C in inland and coastal areas, and 15C in the mountains. Clear skies are expected throughout the evening.

From Wednesday through Friday, weather conditions are forecast to be mainly fine with local cloud development. Temperatures will stabilize and remain close to the seasonal average for this time of year, concluding the brief period of elevated heat.
