Two men arrested in Limassol following abduction and extortion of teenager

Police in Limassol, Cyprus, arrested two men aged 23 and 24 on the evening of Monday, September 7, 2026, following allegations of kidnapping and extortion. An 18-year-old victim reported that the suspects approached him in a local park around 8:00 p.m., forced him into their vehicle, and transported him to another location. According to the victim, he was subjected to threats related to existing financial disputes between them.

Authorities quickly identified and located the vehicle involved in the incident, leading to the apprehension of the suspects and the rescue of the victim. The suspects were taken to the Limassol CID offices for questioning. The police are investigating charges including conspiracy to commit a felony, kidnapping, extortion, and money laundering.
