Couple and third individual face charges following infant death in Kypseli

Authorities in Kypseli, Athens, have charged a 43-year-old Greek man and his 38-year-old German partner in connection with the death of their infant son. The couple, along with a 26-year-old Afghan man who resided with them, is currently in custody. While the parents initially claimed the infant died of natural causes, forensic evidence suggests a violent death caused by multiple sharp-force injuries to the back and waist, resulting in severe hemorrhage. The infant's body was discovered in a refrigerated state within the apartment.

All three individuals were previously detained on drug trafficking charges and are appearing in court today to address the new, grave accusations related to the child's homicide. Additionally, the 26-year-old man faces investigations regarding his alleged relationship with the family's underage daughter.
