Man arrested in Paphos for possession of stolen power tools
Police in the Paphos district arrested a 46-year-old man on September 7, 2026, following an investigation into illegal possession of property. Acting on intelligence, authorities executed a court-authorized search of the suspect's residence, where they discovered a large quantity of power tools for which the individual could not provide a satisfactory explanation or proof of ownership.
Following his arrest for the flagrant offense, the suspect was brought before the Paphos District Court on September 8, 2026. The court subsequently issued a detention order for six days to facilitate ongoing police investigations. The Pegeia Police Station is currently in charge of the case and continues to conduct inquiries to determine the origin of the seized property and whether further charges are warranted.
