Two brothers arrested for robbery and drug possession in Erimi

In the early hours of Tuesday, September 8, 2026, a 25-year-old food delivery driver was assaulted and robbed in the Erimi area of Limassol. Two suspects approached the victim while he was delivering an order, beat him, and stole his motorcycle and a waist bag containing 100 euros. The victim received first aid at the Limassol General Hospital and was subsequently discharged. Police investigations led to the identification and arrest of two brothers, aged 21 and 19, who were reportedly recognized by the victim at the police station.

During a search of the suspects' residence and property, police discovered 772 grams of cannabis, a precision scale, the victim’s stolen bag, and the keys to his motorcycle. The suspects are now facing charges related to the robbery and the possession of drugs with intent to supply. On September 9, 2026, the suspects appeared before the Limassol District Court, which ordered their detention for seven days to facilitate the ongoing police investigation.
