Colombian football midfielder James Rodriguez is reportedly in advanced negotiations to join the Italian club Avellino. Rodriguez, who is currently a free agent, has had a diverse career path since his stint with the Greek club Olympiacos during the 2022-23 season. His recent professional history includes brief spells with Minnesota United in the MLS—where he appeared in only eight matches between February and July—as well as stints at Sao Paulo in Brazil, Rayo Vallecano in Spain, and Leon in Mexico.
