Recent water supply interruptions in Limassol due to network faults

During September 2026, the Limassol District Local Government Organisation (EOA) reported two separate water supply interruptions caused by faults in the municipal water network. On September 8, specific streets in the Pantea area of the Agios Athanasios district experienced outages. Initial reports affected streets including Armenias, Nuremberg, Christoforos Savvas, and others, with repairs scheduled for completion by 17:00. A subsequent update on September 9 noted additional affected streets such as Apostolou Markou and Nil Armstrong, with restoration expected by 15:00.

Separately, on September 11, another fault impacted the Agia Zoni area of Limassol. The affected zone spans west of Agia Zoni Street up to Makariou III Avenue, including Agias Fylaxeos and Gladstonos streets. EOA technical crews were deployed to conduct repairs, with the water supply expected to be restored by the early afternoon of September 11. Residents in the affected sectors were advised to account for the temporary disruption while utility workers finalized the necessary technical fixes to ensure the restoration of normal services.
