Omonia FC rejects transfer bid from Dubai United for Senou Coulibaly

Omonia Nicosia has expressed strong dissatisfaction following a transfer bid from Dubai United for their defender, Senou Coulibaly. This approach, which arrived on the final day of the transfer window, follows a similar failed attempt by the Russian club Rodina Moscow. Both clubs are associated with businessman Sergey Lomakin, a fact that has caused frustration within the Cypriot team's administration.

Omonia officials confirmed that they have explicitly rejected the offer, maintaining their long-standing position that the Malian defender is not for sale. Reports indicate that while the financial offer from Dubai was similar to the earlier one from Rodina, it included significantly higher personal contract terms for the player. The leadership at Omonia believes that these repeated, unsolicited approaches are intended to disrupt the team’s locker room and competitive planning rather than reflect legitimate interest.
