Jordan Ayew signs one-year deal with Sheffield United

Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew has officially joined Sheffield United on a one-year contract. The 34-year-old forward had been a free agent since the beginning of the summer, following his participation in the North American World Cup with the Ghana national team.

Ayew, who has previously played for APOEL and AEL, continues his career in England for the ninth consecutive season. He spent the last two years at Leicester City, where he recorded 80 appearances but experienced two consecutive relegations with the club. This move marks a fresh start for the veteran attacker as he joins the Sheffield side for the upcoming campaign.

The transfer concludes a period of uncertainty for the player, who remained without a club throughout the transfer window after the conclusion of his contract with Leicester. He is now set to integrate into the Sheffield United squad immediately to prepare for the season ahead.
