Cyprus announces two new housing schemes for families

The first scheme allows property owners to construct an additional residential unit on an existing building, such as by adding a floor or expanding the structure, specifically to house children or grandchildren. This initiative applies nationwide, even if the building density factor is exhausted, with units permitted up to 150 square meters, or 180 square meters under certain conditions. The second scheme involves the distribution of approximately 570 state-owned plots across all districts to eligible families at 25% of their market value.
