Cyprus Defence and Space Industry Cluster appoints new board

The Cyprus Defence and Space Industry Cluster (CyDSIC) held its inaugural electoral general assembly on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The assembly resulted in the formation of an eight-member board of directors representing various stakeholders within the island's defence, security, and space sectors. Dr. Loizos Christofi of EBOS Technologies was elected as president, while Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou of Tototheo Global was appointed vice-president for financial affairs.

Operating under the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) and originally established within the Cyprus Research and Innovation Enterprises Association, the cluster aims to formalize and grow the national ecosystem. The organization has played a significant role in enhancing Cyprus’ international presence and facilitating the increased participation of domestic enterprises in major European research and development initiatives.

This leadership transition marks a significant milestone in the cluster's development. Moving forward, the new board is tasked with maintaining the momentum of the sector’s growth through collective cooperation and strategic partnerships, focusing on long-term sustainability and international competitiveness in high-technology markets.
