EAC announces drone inspection flights in Limassol

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has announced that it will conduct scheduled short-duration drone flights on Thursday, September 10, 2026. The operations are planned to take place between 09:00 and 11:00 local time in specific areas of the Limassol district.

The inspections will specifically focus on two locations: the area west of the Industrial Area in Ypsonas and sections located west of the main road in Kato Polemidia. The purpose of these flights is to monitor and inspect the electrical distribution network, ensuring the infrastructure remains in good working order.

According to the official announcement, all operations will be carried out in strict accordance with the prevailing regulatory framework and established safety protocols. The authority has requested the public's understanding and cooperation during the duration of these planned activities. No further technical or operational details regarding the nature of the maintenance have been disclosed by the EAC at this stage.
