Olympiacos to play home games at Sunel Arena during SEF renovations
Olympiacos BC officially announced that it will host its home matches at the Sunel Arena in Ano Liosia for the coming months. This decision follows a formal agreement reached with AEK BC, the permanent resident of the venue, to facilitate operations while major renovation works are carried out at the Peace and Friendship Stadium (SEF).
The temporary move is expected to last until the completion of the SEF renovation project, with current estimates suggesting a return to the club's home ground no earlier than January or February 2027. The agreement includes specific provisions, such as liability clauses to cover any potential damage to the facilities during the team's stay, with rent being settled on a per-game basis.
Olympiacos management expressed gratitude toward AEK for the cooperation and hospitality provided during this transition. While the exact duration of the arrangement remains subject to the progress of the construction at SEF, the club emphasizes that the support of its fans will remain central regardless of the venue.
