ICPAC presents career opportunities in accounting at summer workshop

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) participated in the Summer Workshop on Economics and Entrepreneurship held on September 9, 2026. The event was organized by the Association of Economics Teachers of Cyprus in collaboration with the School of Tourism, Hospitality and Entrepreneurship Management of the Cyprus University of Technology. It aimed to provide high school students with career guidance and a deeper understanding of the modern financial sector.

Myria Saparilla, Vice-President of ICPAC’s Limassol-Paphos Coordinating Committee and partner at Ernst & Young Cyprus, led the interactive presentation. She detailed the evolving role of professional accountants and highlighted the diverse career paths available to young people both in Cyprus and internationally. The session emphasized that choosing a career trajectory is a critical decision that significantly influences a student’s long-term professional aspirations and future prospects in the global economy.
