Beer deliveries in August 2026 show decline in domestic market but surge in exports

Data released by the Statistical Service on Wednesday show that total beer deliveries declined by 2.3% in August 2026 compared to August 2025. The volume of deliveries reached 4.41 million liters, down from 4.51 million liters recorded in the same month of the previous year. Furthermore, total deliveries saw a monthly contraction of 22% compared to July 2026.

The overall decline was driven by a 3.8% reduction in domestic market deliveries, which fell to 4,223,793 liters. Conversely, the export sector demonstrated significant growth, with a 50.8% increase in volume. Export figures rose to 192,313 liters in August 2026, compared to 127,522 liters during the same period in 2025. This surge in exports partially offset the weakened domestic demand.
