4th Cyprus Choreography Showcase to be held in Limassol

The 4th Cyprus Choreography Showcase is scheduled to take place from September 18 to 20, 2026, at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol. Organized by the Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the Rialto Theatre, the event serves as a platform to highlight the vitality and diversity of the local contemporary dance scene.

The showcase will feature eight to nine choreographic works exploring various themes, including power dynamics, identity, gender, social justice, female strength, collective experience, transformation, and human relationships with the future. While Limassol Today reports nine works and PhileNews notes eight, both agree that the primary objective is to present these performances to invited international artistic directors, curators, and festival organizers to facilitate professional networking and future tours for Cypriot artists abroad.

Established as an annual institution, the showcase provides a professional bridge between local choreographers and the international dance market. In addition to the performances, the program includes "MEANWHILE" activities designed to foster exchange and collaboration among participants. The event continues to be a central pillar for the international promotion of contemporary dance created within Cyprus.
