Egypt: Tomb of an official from the era of Pharaoh Djedkare Isesi discovered

An Egyptian archaeological mission has discovered a 4,400-year-old tomb at the Saqqara necropolis, dating back to the Fifth Dynasty under Pharaoh Djedkare Isesi. The structure, known as a mastaba, features two chapels belonging to a high-ranking official named Yunmen and his father, Iti. The site is noted for its well-preserved painted reliefs depicting agricultural scenes and offerings. This joint project by the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities aims to provide new insights into Old Kingdom administrative and burial traditions.
