Limassol sewage network construction reaches 85 percent completion
The Limassol District Self-Government Organization (EOA) announced that the construction of the sewage network in government-subsidized housing settlements has reached approximately 85% completion as of September 10, 2026. The project, which spans work across nearly 270 streets, is currently focused on the Mouttagiaka self-housing area, while final household connection works are underway in the Pano Polemidia settlement.
Significant progress has been reported across several areas, with works fully completed in the Omonia, Agios Spyridonas, Agios Ioannis, and Agios Nikolaos settlements. Construction remains pending on the 68th street in the Kato and Pano Polemidia area, as well as specific segments of the Grigori Afxentiou, Petraki Giallourou, Griva Digeni, Michail Karaoli, Salaminos, and Agias Paraskevis streets in Mouttagiaka.
Contextually, a partial handover of the project took place in October 2025, covering the settlements of Omonia, Agios Spyridonas, Agios Ioannis, and the Agia Fyla self-housing area. The current phase represents the final stages of a major infrastructure project aimed at upgrading sanitation facilities across various municipal regions.
