Fuel tax cut extended until end of November

The government of Cyprus has extended the current reduction in excise duties for petrol and diesel by 8.33 cents per litre until November 30. Finance Minister Makis Keravnos stated that this decision aims to alleviate the financial burden on households and businesses amid volatile global energy markets. Although opposition parties have called for further relief, the government maintains that no additional measures are currently planned beyond this extension, which has saved consumers approximately 15.5 million euros so far.
