Investigation launched following the sudden death of singer Giorgos Mazonakis
Greek singer Giorgos Mazonakis has died at the age of 54. Following reports that his death was caused by cardiac arrest, forensic expert Marios Matsakis publicly questioned the initial findings, arguing that the medical explanation is not sufficient and that a comprehensive investigation is required to rule out potential third-party liability.
In response to these concerns, Mazonakis's family has appointed forensic expert Sotiris Bouzianis as a technical advisor to conduct an independent review of the events leading to his passing. Simultaneously, local authorities have conducted a search of the singer's residence in Voula to secure evidence and analyze the sequence of events.
The ongoing investigation aims to clarify the circumstances surrounding his death, which reportedly occurred after he collapsed at a medical clinic in Kolonaki. Officials are currently processing the collected data, while the family remains focused on obtaining a definitive answer regarding the exact cause of death.
