Olympiacos arrives in Cyprus for the Neofytos Chandriotis basketball tournament

The Greek basketball club Olympiacos Piraeus arrived in Cyprus this week to participate in the international Neofytos Chandriotis tournament. The team, coached by Georgios Bartzokas, received a warm welcome from local fans upon their arrival at the airport. The tournament serves as a key part of the team's preseason preparation following their recent victory at the Crete International Basketball Tournament, where they defeated Fenerbahçe and Red Star Belgrade.

Olympiacos is scheduled to face Red Star Belgrade on September 11 at 21:00 and Maccabi Tel Aviv on September 13 at 18:00. Notably, the team is traveling without center Tarik Jones, who remained behind to undergo a minor surgical procedure to remove a cyst from his right thigh. Following the conclusion of the Cyprus tournament, the team is set to travel to Qatar for the EuroLeague Super Cup, which is scheduled for September 18 and 19.
