Iranian strikes damage U.S. military aircraft at Jordanian air base

A report from the Congressional Research Service released in May indicates that at least 42 U.S. military aircraft have been destroyed or damaged during the hostilities with Iran. The overall human cost of the ongoing conflict has also been severe, with 18 American service members killed and more than 800 wounded to date.
