Cyprus weather forecast: heat persists before cooling trend

Cyprus is currently under the influence of seasonal low pressure, resulting in mostly clear skies with temperatures reaching approximately 38°C inland and 32°C to 34°C along the coasts. While the weather remains warm, meteorologists expect localized cloud development in the mountains during the afternoons, which may bring isolated rain or brief thunderstorms. Morning conditions may include light mist or fog, particularly in inland and eastern areas.

The current warm spell is expected to last through the weekend, with temperatures remaining slightly above seasonal averages. However, starting Monday and continuing into Tuesday, a gradual cooling trend will see temperatures drop by approximately 3°C to 4°C, bringing them closer to normal levels for this time of year. Residents are advised that while the forecast remains settled, these minor atmospheric shifts will result in slightly cooler conditions by early next week.
