Cyprus weather forecast: heat persists with expected atmospheric dust and isolated rain
Cyprus is currently under the influence of seasonal low pressure, resulting in high temperatures and generally fair weather. On Sunday and early next week, inland temperatures are expected to reach up to 37°C, with coastal areas seeing temperatures between 31°C and 33°C, while the higher mountains remain cooler at approximately 29°C. Morning patches of low cloud and fog are expected to dissipate, giving way to sunshine, although isolated rain or brief thunderstorms are possible, particularly in mountainous regions during the afternoon hours.
From Monday onwards, authorities warn of potential atmospheric dust. While the weather will remain mostly clear, meteorologists predict increased cloudiness and a gradual temperature decline starting Tuesday, returning to seasonal averages by Thursday. Winds will remain mostly light to moderate, reaching force 4 to 5 on the Beaufort scale in exposed coastal areas, while the sea will be slight. Residents are advised to prepare for a slight increase in instability toward the end of the week, with potential for isolated showers and localized storms.
