Weather forecast for Cyprus: temperatures to peak before a gradual decline
Cyprus is currently under the influence of seasonal low pressure, bringing warm, generally clear weather with localized cloud cover and a possibility of isolated rain or brief thunderstorms, primarily over the Troodos mountains. On September 13, temperatures are expected to reach approximately 37°C in inland areas, around 31°C to 33°C in coastal regions, and 29°C in the higher mountains. Following the dissipation of morning fog and low cloud cover, the island will experience sunny intervals, with winds reaching up to 5 Beaufort in exposed coastal areas.
Meteorologists forecast a stable weather pattern until early next week, followed by a gradual cooling trend starting Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to drop by approximately 3 to 4 degrees Celsius by mid-week, returning to seasonal norms. Authorities also note that thin dust is expected to be present in the atmosphere starting from September 14. While daytime conditions remain largely settled, residents are advised to expect localized humidity, morning fog, and light winds during overnight hours, with temperatures falling to between 17°C and 22°C depending on the location.
