Neofytos Chandriotis basketball tournament reaches record sold-out status in Cyprus
The payabl. Neofytos Chandriotis basketball tournament, held at the Tassos Papadopoulos-Eleftheria stadium in Cyprus, has achieved a historic sold-out status for its 2026 edition. Running from September 11 to 13, the event honors the memory of former ETA Engomis and national team player Neofytos Chandriotis, who passed away following a battle with cancer. The tournament is co-organized by ETA Engomis and Pneuma Propotions, with payabl. serving as the title sponsor.
Following the complete sell-out of initial ticket packages, organizers released a limited number of daily tickets priced at 35 euros for the final day of games. The tournament features top-tier European teams, including Aris Thessaloniki, Red Star Belgrade, Olympiacos Piraeus, and Maccabi Tel Aviv. The final scheduled matches include a 15:45 tip-off between Aris and Red Star, followed by an 18:00 game between Olympiacos and Maccabi.
This event has become one of the most significant basketball gatherings in the region, drawing thousands of fans to honor Chandriotis's legacy while enjoying elite Euroleague-level play.
