Ilias Kasidiaris to be released from Domokos prison on September 15
Ilias Kasidiaris, a key figure in the criminal organization case involving the Golden Dawn party, is scheduled to be released from Domokos prison on September 15, 2026, at 12:00. His lawyer, Vasso Pantazi, announced that his release follows the completion of his entire prison sentence.
Defense counsel Pantazi stated that Kasidiaris is the only prisoner in Greece to be released after serving his full sentence without having received an irrevocable conviction. She further argued that this situation undermines the presumption of innocence. Regarding his future plans, it was confirmed that Kasidiaris intends to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections with a political entity. A press conference will be held by Kasidiaris after his release to provide further details and address rumors regarding his political comeback.
