Eurostat: Employment in Cyprus is 5.9% above the EU average

During the second quarter of 2026, the employment rate for individuals aged 20 to 64 in Cyprus remained stable at 82.3 percent. This figure positions the country 5.9 percentage points above the European Union average, which reached 76.4 percent during the same period. While employment levels saw minor fluctuations across the EU, Cyprus maintained its standing with no quarterly change. Additionally, the labor market slack within the EU was recorded at 11 percent, a stable metric compared to the previous quarter.
