Chelsea fans to honor late Cypriot supporter Aggy at Stamford Bridge
Akis Kyriakou, a 72-year-old dedicated Chelsea supporter of Cypriot descent known as "Aggy" or "Aki," has passed away. A long-time fixture at Stamford Bridge, Aggy was widely recognized within the fan community for his constant presence in the historic Shed End and his association with the Greek and Cypriot Chelsea Supporters Club. His personal banner, which prominently featured the "Cyprus Blues Chelsea FC" message, became a symbolic part of the stadium's atmosphere.
In tribute to his memory and his role as a "12th man" for the team, fans have organized a memorial gesture for the upcoming match on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Supporters are encouraged to participate in a minute of applause at the 12th minute of the game to honor his legacy. Known for his kindness and his active involvement in traveling to away matches with organized groups, Aggy leaves behind a significant void in the Chelsea fan community both in England and Cyprus.
