Cyprus conducts nationwide teacher training program
From September 8 to September 11, 2026, a mandatory two-day training program was held for all primary, preschool, and special education teachers across Cyprus. This initiative was implemented following a joint decision by the Council of Ministers and the House of Representatives during the first week of the new school year. The training took place at the individual school level to ensure that the content specifically addressed the needs identified in each institution's Unified School Improvement Action Plan.
The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth announced that a total of 214 seminars were provided to cover the diverse requirements of educators nationwide. The curriculum primarily focuses on contemporary teaching methodologies, the utilization of digital tools, artificial intelligence, conflict management, student behavior, and mental resilience. These seminars aim to equip teachers with the necessary skills to navigate modern educational challenges and enhance school operations.
