Artemis Credit Bureau reports two months of successful operation of Cyprus credit scoring system

On September 15, 2026, the Cyprus-based Artemis Credit Bureau marked two months since the launch of its new credit scoring system. The project, which became operational on July 15, 2026, aims to modernize financial assessment tools within the Cypriot financial sector.

According to General Manager Giannis Tomasidis, a total of 986 individuals and legal entities have exercised their right to access their personal credit data since the service was introduced. The implementation of this innovation was achieved through a strategic collaboration between the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Cyprus, and the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection. These institutions worked together to establish the necessary legal and regulatory framework for the system's deployment.

This initiative marks a significant upgrade to the Artemis Data Exchange Mechanism, aligning local financial practices with international standards. The system enables both natural and legal persons to monitor their financial standing, providing greater transparency in credit reporting. Future developments will continue to focus on maintaining the integrity and security of the financial data handled by the bureau as the user base for the new credit scoring tool continues to grow.
