Limassol municipality donates racing wheelchair to 365 Foundation
On September 11, 2026, the Municipality of Limassol officially handed over a specialized racing wheelchair to the 365 Foundation. The equipment, valued at 4,600 euros, was provided following a recommendation from the Municipal Youth and Sports Committee to the Municipal Council.
The funding for the acquisition was sourced from the proceeds of the 27th International Road Race "Marios Agathangelou," held in 2025 as part of the Lemesia athletic events. The total proceeds from the race amounted to 5,051.35 euros, with the remaining balance allocated to cover additional foundation expenses. The wheelchair was accepted by Savvas Minas, the founder of the 365 Foundation, in the presence of Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis and members of the Municipal Committee.
Mayor Armeftis highlighted the municipality's ongoing commitment to inclusive sports and equal opportunities. The event emphasized the social impact of the Lemesia festival alongside its athletic competition. The municipality further noted that registration for the upcoming 28th International Road Race is currently open for interested participants.
