Panathinaikos secures two victories at the Rhodes international tournament

Panathinaikos basketball team achieved two victories during the 2nd International Tournament held in Rhodes on September 11-12, 2026. In the opening match, Panathinaikos defeated AEK 78-56, showcasing a strong defensive philosophy implemented by coach Zeljko Obradovic. New signings including Sylvain Francisco, Guerschon Yabusele, Brancou Badio, and Isaac Bonga received significant playing time. AEK, which struggled both on the court and with its fanbase due to protests over stadium usage, played without key players like Dimitris Flionis and Derrick Williams.

Following the win over AEK, Panathinaikos defeated the Serbian champion Spartak Subotica 77-59 on September 12.
